Want to learn to curl or get started? All of our member clubs run open houses and learn to curl clinics at the start of each season. Many of the clubs offer new curler leagues and can easily get you introduced and playing on a recreation team.

Why Kingston's a Great Host
Greater Kingston Curling Volunteers are gearing up for The Grand Slam of Curling's Players’ Cup December 15 to 20th at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.
Enthusiastic and capable volunteers are critical to hosting major Sporting Events such as this – a fact that was recently highlighted in an interview with Kingston’s Mayor, Bryan Patterson.
Only 3 months to go, plan to be part of the action as the 12 best men’s and 12 best women’s curling teams in the World take to the ice. Be prepared to see the players from the Olympics put their talents to the test in this final international competition!

GSOC Players' Cup is Coming to Kingston
Greater Kingston Curling is excited the Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Cup is being hosted in Kingston December 15 – 20th, 2026. This event will have the top 12 men’s and 12 women’s curling teams from the 2026 GSOC season competing for the prized Players’ Cup.

Team Beuk Junior Clinic
The Greater Kingston Area Curling Association sponsored a clinic for GKC Juniors on February 7th. The young curlers enjoyed the opportunity to receive instruction from Team Beuk members – Patrick Janssen and David Staples on delivery, sweeping, and strategy.
What did the juniors enjoy best?
“The game where you rotated positions and you throw, then sweep, then stay at the other end and call shots, and see how many points we could get.”
“The constant talk on strategy when we were playing games to make sure we have another perspective on shots that could have been played.”
The highlight of the day for some was taking away some curling jerseys as mementos.
